MYTHICWORLDS * MARCH 17-19, 2017 * SEATTLE

The producers of Faerieworlds and FaerieCon invite you to a very different kind of event experience, that celebrates diverse international myth, legend and folklore and is inspired by people who create and live their own unique realms.

At Mythicworlds, you’ll meet and listen to internationally acclaimed artists, authors and designers, all of whom are myth inspired Makers in a variety of popular media. You can attend entertaining and illuminating workshops on international folklore and legend, writing and art making, traditional music and instruments and explore ancient wisdom philosophies and practices. You can shop our marketplace for all sorts of beautiful wares to decorate and adorn your magical life. Each night you’ll enjoy themed music from internationally acclaimed myth and folklore inspired bands that collide and fuse cultures, rhythms and melodies at our Mythic Masquerade Balls.

Mythicworlds celebrates World Myths and World Creators: the amazing artists who see places and visions that exist beyond human senses and bring them to vibrant, tangible life with words and images for us to discover, explore and even inhabit. The thresholds to these Otherlands may lie in books, music, paintings, media or even our own landscapes, but all are very real and can become a destination where our heart and soul find a home.

At Mythicworlds, the boundaries between centuries and worlds have been dissolved and the doors opened to welcome all who hear the Mythic call.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

DO I COME IN COSTUME?
Do come in costume, and let your imagination take hold! FaerieCon is famous for its fabulous fantasy and faerie costumes, from prancing Green Men, to flitting fairies. It’s a great way to spark conversations, meet people, and feel like you’re a part of the event. You might even want to enter our costume contest!

WHAT’S INLCUDED WITH MY PASSPORT?
Attend our many free panels and presentations. This year we will have four different rooms running author and artist panels, wisdom-sharing workshops, and presentations that highlight the many talented guests we have attending. Passports also include admission to the Good Faeries and Bad Faeries Masquerades.
WHAT ARE THE MASQUERADES?
Whether you’re a good faerie or a bad faerie, our balls on Friday and Saturday night are packed with amazing music, floor-shaking dancing, and as much merriment as you could hope for! We always have something special in store for you when it comes to music, and this year is no different.
CAN I BRING MY KIDS?
Have kids? Take them to the Children’s Area, or visit Nymbol’s Secret Garden! We have a special room devoted to arts and activities aimed at younger attendees, and the Nymbol’s Secret Garden stage is a wonder to behold, as magical creatures take you to new lands of imagination with songs, jokes, and stories!
ARE THERE VENDORS?
Shop at the dozens of vendors in the Mythic Marketplace. We’re very discerning about vendors at FaerieCon, and it shows! Hand-crafted items, amazing art, and true skill is on display everywhere you look. It’s also a great way to meet people, and discover more about the FaerieCon aesthetic.
